Gavin Calver – High Fibre bible study (16 and over), Evening Speaker and Seminar Leader.
Gav is the National Director of Youth for Christ. YFC specialize in communicating and demonstrating the Christian faith to over 300,000 young people a month. A graduate of the London School of Theology, ordained Baptist evangelist, author and regular public speaker. He is married to Anne, they have a daughter, Amelie, a son, Daniel, and live in Halesowen, West Midlands. Gavin loves sport, curry and devotedly following AFC Wimbledon.
Dave Newton – High Fibre bible study (16 and under) and Evening Speaker.
Dave is married to Liz and has three kids and is based in Merseyside. His role as Director of National Ministries for Youth for Christ takes him all over the country and occasionally across the world speaking teaching and releasing young people in mission. Dave is a keen Liverpool fan and enjoys hot Indian curry. He has worked in youth work for 17 years in a variety of contexts.
Ruth Valerio – Evening Speaker and Seminar Leader.
Ruth Valerio is the Manager of A Rocha’s Living Lightly project, which enables people to live greener, simpler lives, and is the author of L is for Lifestyle: Christian living that doesn’t cost the earth. Ruth is also on the Spring Harvest Theme and Programme Development Group. She is doing doctoral studies at Kings College London and spends much of her time speaking and writing on issues of justice and the environment, as well as living it out practically at home in a number of different ways. Ruth lives in Chichester with her husband and two daughters and is a part of Revelation Church.
Ben Jack – Evening Speaker and Seminar Leader.
Ben Jack is an award winning international DJ and Speaker who has a passion to see young people 'Keep It Real'. Ben has a heart to see the church, and in turn the world, transformed by rising up to the challenge of authentic lifestyles that reflect the truth of Jesus. Ben is currently the station manager of Cross Rhythms Teesside radio station, and can be heard every weekday morning to be talking a large amount of nonsense on his breakfast show.
Cris Rogers – Main Stage Speaker and Seminar Leader
Cris is the Pastor at Soul Survivor, Harrow. Since he was 15 Cris has been involved in pioneering youth work, and has a particular passion for unpacking the Bible for young people. He is passionate for social action, serving the lost and meeting people where they are at. He has written a few books which he makes all Church members read to knock the sales up from 5-6 copies sold. Cris is married to Beki and has a little boy called Isaac and girl called Daisy and loves watching films and even has his own cinema in his loft.
Yfriday – Worship Leaders
One of the most popular Christian bands in the UK, Yfriday will be leading worship each night in the main meetings. This will be Yfriday's last Harvest and possibly their last time leading worship together. We are very grateful for the way in which Yfriday have enabled so many of us to engage with God for over the last 16 years. Harvest are really pleased we have this chance to say goodbye to our great friends by spending a week worshipping God with them.
The Band With No Name – The Barn
thebandwithnoname is dedicated to performing its cutting edge, high energy show to teenagers in schools and at concerts across the globe. These guys are incredible performers with a commitment to presenting the Christian message to young people. Since their launch in 2001 thebandwithnoname have released 3 albums and 2 singles. They frequently top the UK Christian charts and “Dying To Be There”, their most recent release, won two “album of the year” awards. The band spends loads of time visiting UK schools but has still managed to perform in Holland, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania and the USA. thebandwithnoname also hosts a weekly radio show – theshowithnoname on Cross Rhythms and appear regularly on God TV.
Philipa Hanna – The Barn
Sheffield-based Philippa bounced into the music scene in 2007 with her debut album Watching Me which received critical acclaim. Not content with just making music, Philippa’s first book 'More' came out in 2008. The book tells the story behind her songs and gives insight into the transformation that has taken place in her life since becoming a Christian in 2004. Her time is also invested in working with the charity Compassion. With the success of her cousins (Richard and Danny from Embrace) and her brother Stuart (bassist for Jamiroquai and Mark Ronson), Philippa has a hard act to follow however she is winning fans and making friends all over the globe.
The Naughty Vicars – The Barn & The Lounge
The Naughty Vicars, (Naughty: adjective - ‘cheekily good’) is the musical collaboration of five friends from Eaglescliffe, Teesside. Formed in 2008 for the sheer banter of playing music, and with the initial intention of winning the ‘coveted’ ‘Egglescliffe School Battle of the Bands’, the lads have been playing right across the UK. Now far from those early garageband days, with a stage performance that has inspired and enthralled audiences of thousands, including sell-out performances in venues such as the o2 academy and the Royal Albert Hall, and with the highly anticipated release of their upcoming debut EP, The Naughty Vicars are on the verge of much bigger things…

John Hawksworth – Seminar Leader
John is the Director of Youth for Christ North East and preaches around the North East. He is married to Liz and has two children, Beth and Joel; they live by the sea in Whitley Bay. John has limited spare time but devotes it to Lego; he has become quite the expert in building towers which his son swiftly demolishes. This not only teaches him the art of being a good father, giving his son space to explore his physical abilities but also develops his calm, patient nature.
Jill Foster – Workshop Leader
Jill is a Geordie lass, born and bred in Gateshead. She has a strong history of creative arts including street dance, graffiti and drama. You may recognise her from her days in Dependance but she now works for the Methodist church. Jill is an evangelism enabler and children’s and family worker on the Gateshead & Jarrow and North & South Shields circuits. Jill loves a bit of Glee, making her a ‘Gleek’ and spends a large amount of time shopping for a bargain and going for coffee with her wonderful friends.
Sarah Toop – Seminar Leader
Sarah works for a church in Teesside as a community worker after studying Youth and Community at Nazarene Theological College. She loves to read and cook (often combining the two by reading cookery books as she falls asleep) but as a vegan cannot taste the majority of her handy work. I am informed though that her senses guide her well and her food is a treat to any palate. Sarah and her fiancé Jon spend most of their spare time with the young people Sarah works with but can occasionally be found enjoying a good old film at the cinema.
James Robinson – Workshop Leader
James is a youth, schools and community worker in Durham. He is passionate about creativity and is always coming up with new ideas. He loves to share God's story in schools, in churches and to pretty much anyone else. He also loves to get people engaged with creative prayer and is currently exploring about what we can learn from the saints and Celtic spirituality. This year at Harvest he is really really excited about the new prayer and creative arts venue. James is married to Kate and they live in Durham.
Geoff Brown – Workshop Leader
Geoff works for Scripture union and is involved in helping churches develop links with schools. He is one of the people behind SchoolsLive - an interactive website providing resources for Christian groups in schools. He is keen to see young people engage with the Bible and get to know God better. Geoff lives in Gateshead, is married to Sarah and they have two amazing children, Joel and Hannah.
Amy Burns – High Fibre bible study (16 and under) and Seminar Leader
Amy works for Tees Valley YFC, co-ordinating their Resource Team and leading the G:em project, which aims to empower girls to root their identity in Christ and follow His calling for their lives. She lives in Stockton with her husband Adam and is a part of The Vine church. She loves to write stories, bake cupcakes, watch movies and talk incessantly about Jesus.
Seymour Jacklin – Workshop Leader
Seymour is a freelance writer and part time psychiatric nurse. He lives in Durham with his wife, Katherine, and labrador, Pepper. He is one of the youth group leaders at The King's Church Durham and has a particular heart for discipling young men. When he is not writing or walking his dog he likes to take photographs using antique equipment, listen to jazz and play the harmonica.
